this may come as a shock, but not everyone uses Facebook. and yet? some non-Facebook users may still want access to social apps. seems like laziness on the part of the developers wrapped in a flag of privacy and verification for the users benefit. as if theres no other way to verify youre a real human unless youre on one particular social network. and you know its full-proof because its just impossible to make a fake facebook account...
